A patient has been assigned a questionnaire for a particular form of disease, but the doctor diagnoses a new form of disease symptom in the patient. So a new questionnaire has to be designed for him. A new set of questionnaires is prepared by the administrator and it needs to be sent to the patient’s PDA.

Since, the standalone application for designing questionnaires was to be built for mobile devices, it was implied that the dynamic updations in the questionnaires should be achieved remotely and automatically. In the IT industry, documenting each and every SDLC process is universally considered as a good practice, but is seldom achieved in real-life. A major reason could be the fact that in the trade-off between quality software and quality documentation, it is always the latter one that has to lose the battle mostly because of the stringent deadlines and partly due to its second fiddle status. Documentation was required for ScopServ Telephony Server that was intended to provide the communication solutions to business enterprises. The ScopServ Telephony Server could be set as either a complete IP-PBX system or simply as a gateway to manage VoIP or PSTN (digital/analog) lines. Apart from this, the system provides world-class management GUI interface for managing the server and configuring users, extensions, and call features.

Solution:

Q3 Technologies developed a plan to manage the documentation for the product from inception to completion. At the initiation level, Q3 Technologies deployed domain experts with profound documentation skills. Q3 Technologies constituted a Client Documentation team to prepare the documentation of the software, as requested by the client. Effective technical training on product features and functionalities were imparted internally to the team. Client requirements were mapped into well designed formats and designs for providing best views on PDF documents and web files.

A strategy was devised to design and create help manuals using advanced tools such as Madcap Flare. Easy to follow steps for the client software were designed in a way that even novice users could easily follow and master them. Q3 Technologies, Gurgaon, developed a solution for SKU Consolidation & Web Application for a Large Auto Parts Retailer.

Business Situation:

A large auto parts retailer wanted to consolidate its inventory details spread across various formats so that it could provide a single interface for searching and sale of items from its inventory.

Solution:

An n-tier Java/J2EE architecture was developed by Q3 tech that was modular, highly scalable, and easy to maintain.
A common data model and database schema was defined for parts details using advanced data modeling tools.
Business Services and Data Layers were created for querying and updating data in the inventory database. All access to the database had to go thru the business and data layers.
Web Services/WSDL endpoints were created both for external suppliers to send data to the inventory database as well as for internal tools to import data from the existing formats to the common database.
A Web2.0 style AJAX based Web based application was created that provided the user with a rich user experience.
Software utilities were created for reading the existing parts information and migrating it to the database using the Web Services described above.
Shopping and billing modules were created including interfacing with external systems such as payment gateways etc.

Business Situation:

Client sells products via distributors, OEMs and retail eCommerce operations. All three channels had their own front end systems. These channels were not interconnected requiring manual re-keying of orders and inaccurate inventory levels.

The sales mix coming from various channels changed suddenly with the new product offerings. There was a growing divide between front office and back office as orders increased significantly from the online and tele-sales channel.

Solution:

Q3 technologies analyzed the technical systems and business processes of the client. The process assessment identified the need for an integrated system that cut across different departments and effectively supported business processes. The management team at the client was wary of both the cost and time frame required for a completely integrated system.

Q3 technologies implemented the solution in two Phases to keep the project on a manageable time and cost schedule.

Phase I: Microsoft Dynamic’s Great Plains Implementation and integrated with the web based system. Upgrade of Commerce System to a Commerce Server based platform. Phase II: Upgrade to Microsoft Dynamic’s Great Plains with real-time integration via eConnect.

While both Phase I and Phase II were implemented under the estimated budget.

Phase II real-time eCommerce Integration: COM based integration was chosen for integration MS Commerce Server based eCommerce web site. Since Commerce Server is built using COM technology, COM based integration was preferred. Incoming integration was done for orders, customers and return requests.

Static graph is a graph of edges and nodes where each node represents the actor of the analysis and edges represents the relation between different actors. Length of the edge represents how closely the actors are connected. Dynamic graphs are a set of static graphs where information is displayed for different time spans i.e. user can know the time span during which actors were really active. As per the requirement, user should be able to drag the nodes and edges of the graphs across the panel. User should be able to process multiple datasets simultaneously. Multiple users and simultaneous analysis of datasets requires enhanced computational processing power and physical memory.

The application was designed a sit can keep track of all lab locations, containers which stores compounds and compound information. The application is also responsible for different operations in a lab.
To be more user friendly for the users the development team implemented GUI based application. From the various locations shown on the world’s map a user can click on a particular location and all labs would be available. In a lab user can select different locations and can select containers of different substance. After selecting a container all information related to the container were shown to the user with different options to perform.
